Happy Turkey Day!

No. Wrong turkey.

Yes. That's better.

Today was Thanksgiving. I like Thanksgiving. For me, it's the one day of the year where I always stop and reflect on everything that has happened to me over the past year that I'm thankful for. I usually do the same on New Year's Eve, too, so I get two happy days really close together.

It's also a day for food, family and fun. For me, I always eat a lot of food, since my parents are divorced and I typically get to go to a dinner with each of them. This year was no different, but was more toned down... which was nice.

For the second year in a row, I kept the whole day off of work, which was good. Allie and I went to a friend's room at Kidani Village at DAK Lodge this morning for breakfast, watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and saw two zebras outside his room... um... "being thankful for each other"... if you get my drift. That was craziness. Good way to start the morning, though! After, I drove home to Lakeland for dinner with my Dad and two uncles, then went to a family friend's house with Mom for a bit, stopped by her house to pick up some Christmas things and drove back up to meet Allie at work as she closed Spaceship Earth.

The food was tasty. The weather was beautiful. The holiday was nice, as always.

I'm thankful for a lot of things and am certainly very blessed. Hope you and yours had a wonderful holiday, as well!

(and if you happen to have missed having a nice dinner today, just give me a call... I have enough leftovers for AT LEAST a week)
