Cheese platters are AMAZING!

This blog is completely random, but I just want the world to know that I LOVE making cheese platters. I made the platter below this evening for one of my classes tomorrow.

Yes, we are throwing a party and no, you aren't invited... unless you bring a YouTube video to analyze with us. (It's our final exam. Pitiful, I know)

Memories of days gone by

Earlier today, I spent some time talking on the phone with a friend of mine who I hadn't seen or really heard from in over a year, which would have been the Summer of 2007. This friend, whether he knew it or not, had a special place in my heart... and I'm not really even sure why.

He's coming to visit for a few days and I'm pretty excited. I may only get to spend a day or two hanging out with him, but any time is going to be welcomed.

This sudden reconnection has started bringing back memories of days gone by... fun days out on the parade route in blistering hot weather, dancing at the top of the F! house, and innocent flirting here and there. I remember once txting him, "you're face is as beautiful... as a dump truck." I honestly don't know what I meant by that, but it definitely got his attention.

There were all kinds of emotions running through me that Summer, from having a new relationship broken to an old one being rekindled, to having to say goodbye to this person who really meant something to me, even though I really never got to express it. But, even through all the highs and lows, the simple memory of seeing his smile everyday at work burns brightly in my mind.

I honestly don't know what to expect from his visit. Will I get all nervous, things get awkward, and not be able to enjoy his company? Or, will I be able to have an awesome couple of days hanging out with a pretty amazing person?

I guess we'll just have to wait and find out... keep your fingers crossed...
I sure will.

I LOVE this awesome service!

As soon as I found out I could post to my blog from my phone, I just HAD to try it out!

So, here it is, my first blog post from the good ol' BlackBerry.

This has opened up so many more possibilities - hooray!

Welcome to my World!

Some may find the need to ask, "why 'One down... too many to go...'?"
The answer is simple. Every day that I post a blog is just one more day in my life that has occurred... and there are so many more to come... sometimes, too many.

Found yourself interested in asking more, eh? I just knew you would.

"Why have you decided to start blogging?"
Again, that's an easy one. I've decided that life is just too short to keep everything all "bottled up" inside. Life is quite a serous thing. It's also a pretty darn funny thing, as well. Why not share it?

It also gives me another excuse to procrastinate by putting off other, more important things. Therefore, expect a few "what I REALLY should be doing right now" blogs... and share in my agony.

"Aren't you afraid that certain details of your life will be exposed for the ENTIRE WORLD to see?"
Isn't that the whole point of a blog?

"Do you really think your blog will be an interesting read, inspire many by your profound statements, and end up going down in history?"
Wow, I sure hope so.

"Why is wine sold in a box?"
" 'cause that's where the bag stays... that's a stupid question. Duh."

That's all I have for now, kids. Stay tuned... hopefully, this will be fun.
